Welcome To My Website!

Not that I need another thing on my plate, but now that I’m really trying to turn my creative endeavors into polished, published works for the whole world to see (that seems unrealistic; maybe I should say “for dozens of my close friends and family members to see” LOL), a website where you all can get to know me and what I’m about seemed like a good idea. My plan is to post here on a biweekly basis. Side note: have you ever noticed that “biweekly” means both “once every two weeks” and “twice a week”? The former definition is intended here. Perhaps I should say “fortnightly” instead? These posts will include examples of my work, updates on the publication process, and general articles on literary things, including my faves, my pet peeves, interesting linguistic facts…you know, general nerd shit.

Here I am in Greece, standing in the ruins of the Telesterion where the Eleusinian Mysteries took place thousands of years ago. It’s not on my Works In Progress list yet, but I’ve got a great idea for a historical fiction novel involving this place and its fascinating rites of initiation!

If you feel so inclined, I’d love to hear from you in the comments or via email (see About Me for contact information). You can also check out my Works In Progress page for a very general overview of what’s coming. If you want to keep up with my posts, hit the Subscribe button on my homepage. I promise I won’t spam you; you’ll just get updates when I post something new. XOXO, Gossip Girl. Oops! I need my own sign-off. How about this? You might know this already, but I’m a total Latin nerd. My name means “queen” in Spanish; the Latin version of that is regina. “Your queen” would be regina vestra (the vestra denotes more than one “you”; using the plural might be wishful thinking, but I’m nothing if not an optimist). The Latin version of “until next time” or “see you later” is in proximum. So here’s my sign-off: In Proximum, Regina Vestra.
